“When she would walk into a room you could feel the energy.”
Sen. Kay Hagan’s memorial was a testament to the impact she had on everyone she met. Our state and our country are better off because of her service. https://t.co/OHWwjsdiCI
A beautiful service today remembering Kay Hagan. Honored to be invited by Chip Hagan and reminded how he has shown such dignity in caring for Kay. https://t.co/3yyHUSCxhn
I recently spoke on the Senate Floor to the memory of my friend, former Senator Kay Hagan from North Carolina. Kay was one of those women who you natural gravitated to. She was kind and she was generous in her southern manner and charm. https://t.co/y3Z28akoHk
My thoughts go out to the friends and family of Senator Kay Hagan. Although we served only one term together, I got to know Kay very well and was lucky to call her a friend. Kay exhibited the kind of problem solving we need more of in the Senate today. We’ll all miss her.
Kay Hagan provided the 60th and decisive vote for the Affordable Care Act—knowing she could lose her seat in the Senate. She served with a brand of courage sorely missing in today's Washington. My deepest condolences are with her family, friends, and the people of North Carolina.
Heartbroken by the passing of my friend Kay Hagan. Kay and I came to the Senate together in 2009, where from day 1 she fought tirelessly on behalf of North Carolina families. Keeping her husband Chip, family and all who knew & loved her in my thoughts. She will be deeply missed.
